Gabriel Obertan signs 4 year contract with Manchester United
The under 21 french international striker has signed a 4 year contract with Manchester United reported to be worth around £3 million.
Obertan who was on loan from Bordeaux with Lorient for the second half of last season made 15 appearances for the team, scoring 1 goal. He scored against England under 21’s in March, and went on to received Most Valuable Player award at last month’s Toulon International youth tournament.
Alex Ferguson is reported to have said “Gabriel is a player we have tracked for a few years now, but because of his educational programme our efforts to get him here have always been delayed. We are delighted to get him now as he is an exciting prospect. We like to get young players and develop them and we will see that in Gabriel over the next two years.”
Obertan is also believed to be very happy with his move saying “This is a big opportunity for me to play at such a great club, I am very excited to be here and I look forward to proving what I can do.”
